Doug Nelson, EDFP, Interim President & CEO; Senior VP of Financial Services
In addition to his new duties as Interim President & CEO of the Amarillo EDC, Doug oversees a number of financial tools to help businesses succeed in Amarillo. We lean on him for his 20+ years of experience with the Texas Panhandle Regional Planning Corporation (TPRDC) and his experience in small business lending, government contracting, grant writing and project administration. In his role with us, he administers several TPRDC lending programs.
Brian Jennings, CEcD, EDFP, Senior VP of Business Development
Brian is a familiar face around Amarillo with his roles on the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Business Council and Center City of Amarillo Facade Grant Committee. Throughout his time with us, he’s helped to attract and expand companies like Bell Helicopter and Gestamp Renewable Industries. In addition to graduating from West Texas A&M, he continued his education with the Leadership Amarillo & Canyon as well as the International Economic Development Council.
Steve Pritchett, CEcD, VP of Business Development
Pacific Cheese, Atmos Energy Corporation and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas are just a few of the companies Steve has helped during his 20+ year tenure at Amarillo EDC. In addition to graduating from West Texas A&M, he also has specialized education from the Economic Development Institute and the International Economic Development Council.
Reagan Hales, Director of Marketing & Communications
Although Reagan’s an Amarillo native, she’s a recent addition to the Amarillo EDC. Before joining our ranks, she managed public/private research projects and oversaw operating budgets for the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Pharmacy. Her experience ranges from fixed income sales at Merrill Lynch to non-profit fundraising at the American Heart Association. Her degree in finance comes from the University of Texas.
Andy Arias, Loan Officer, Financial Services
Andy’s spent the past four years helping us serve the financial needs of area businesses through the U.S. Small Business Association Certified Development Company (504) program. Prior to joining us, he served as a Credit Assistant and Financial Analyst for Anderson Merchandisers as well as five years working with the Panhandle Regional Planning Commission. In addition to his education at West Texas A&M, he recently completed a four part economic development program – REDI.
Chris Lyles, Office Administrator
In short, Chris keeps everyone on our staff organized and focused on helping the various businesses that need our support. Before joining us in 2002, she also supported the county judge’s office as well as a mid-sized corporation. In addition to working with us, she is the Chair of the Office Administrator Advisory Committee for Amarillo College.
