Cooke Electrical Contracting, Inc. (CECI) began their business focusing on high-voltage electrical construction for utility companies and wind farms. In 2006, CECI expanded further into the wind industry and started offering wind farm maintenance services. Since 2009 CECI has seen rapid growth and continues to market it’s services to existing clients.
CECI believes that the opportunity exists to further expand maintenance services and is dedicating $250,000 over a 3-year period to support existing maintenance business. CECI will use the Amarillo EnterPrize Challenge grant money to supply the new crews with the vehicles, tools and equipment. The company currently has 29 employees.
The Amarillo EDC assisted Cooke Electrical Contractors with a $100,000 grant in the 2010 EnterPrize Challenge.
