Healthcare

Our healthcare resources serve local and regional residents including the Texas Panhandle and our four neighboring states. Some 80 medical specialties and 100 surgical specialties are practiced in Amarillo by a broad range of providers including the Baptist St. Anthony’s Health System, Northwest Texas Healthcare System, and the Veteran’s Healthcare System.

Harrington Regional Medical Campus

This campus with more than 30 facilities and agencies encompasses over 400 acres and is one of the nation’s largest land areas devoted to healing. Amarillo’s medical district provides high-quality, primary and acute care services along with tertiary care to more than one million people a year. In addition to administering care, this regional campus also provides accommodations for patients and their families from throughout a multi-state region. The campus also includes efforts to advance the practice of medicine and pharmaceutical sciences by helping resident scientists and research faculty obtain grants for breakthrough medical research.

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center

In addition to providing quality care, Amarillo continues to train the next generation of medical providers with high-caliber educational opportunities at Texas Tech University. In addition to their original Amarillo location, the campus also includes a state-of-the-art training facility to meet the specialized education needs of their Medical, Pharmaceutical and Nursing students.
