Roberts Ditching

Roberts Ditching digs ditches to install electrical cable and conduit for developers, builders and utility companies. Directional drilling is a service also provided by Roberts Ditching that allows steel casing or required pipe to be pulled under roads and used by electrical contractors, wind farm developers and municipalities. Roberts Ditching currently employs two full-time employees and one part-time employee.

Roberts Ditching is using the Amarillo EnterPrize Challenge grant of $100,000 to purchase additional equipment needed to service the wind farm industry. By expanding services within the wind farm industry, Roberts Ditching will provide ditch-digging capabilities for cable installation, transformer installation, and low/high voltage terminations. These additional services for the wind farm industry are expected to add nine full-time employees over the next three years.

The Amarillo EDC assisted Roberts Ditching with a $100,000 grant in the 2010 EnterPrize Challenge.
