
Brian Jennings serves as Vice President, Business Development, for the Amarillo EDC, focusing on external lead generation and new business development. Brian is also responsible for the internal auditing of active projects as well as Amarillo EDC-owned property management. Throughout his tenure at the Amarillo EDC, Brian has had the privilege to work with major corporate clients on both attractions and expansions including Bell Helicopter, Pacific Cheese Co. and Alstom Power, Inc.
Before making the transition to the Amarillo EDC in May 2006, Brian worked as the Economic Development Program Specialist for Panhandle Regional Planning Commission (PRPC) in Amarillo, Texas. At PRPC, Brian provided commercial lending services through the US Small Business Administration’s Certified Development Company (504) Program as well as the Amarillo MSA Micro-Loan Program and the PRPC Rural Micro-Loan Prgram. Brian also developed and administered infrastructure and construction grants through both the US Economic Development Administration and the Texas Department of Agriculture for Deaf Smith, Ochiltree, and Parmer counties in the Texas Panhandle.
Brian is a graduate of West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas with a BBA in Economics and a MS in Finance and Economics. Brian is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Amarillo & Canyon and currently serves on the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Business Council and Center City of Amarillo Facade Grant Committee. Brian achieved his Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation through the International Economic Development Council in 2010. Brian is also a 2010 Amarillo Chamber of Commerce Top 20 Under 40 Award winner.
