The Bottom Line:
"The Perryman Group found that the total economic impact of projects facilitated by the Amarillo EDC since 2004 alone have resulted in annual gains of some $853 million in total spending, $388 million in output, and 4,473 jobs. Since its inception 20 years ago, it has aided in the location and expansion of projects which presently sustain $11.354 billion in yearly total spending and $4.466 billion in gross product. The area has also benefited from almost 50,000 permanent jobs and an annual flow of local government revenues in excess of $113.5 million."
