The level of financial assistance from Amarillo EDC is determined by a formula based on the number of new jobs a company will create, the average wage rate of those jobs, and the company's total capital investment in the project.
Amarillo recently ranked forth as one of the best cities in the country for new jobs this spring according to Forbes magazine. With the diverse make-up of businesses like Pantex, Bell Helicopter, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Pacific Cheese and the medical district, the city of Amarillo is performing well in the current economy.
