Today, the Amarillo EDC board voted to increase the amount of available funding for the 2009 Amarillo EnterPrize Challenge from $300,000 to $500,000. Now in its thirteenth year, the Amarillo EnterPrize Challenge has awarded 37 different small businesses with cash grants of as much as $75,000 each. From those grants, more than 312 new jobs have been created. This has caused an annual increase in economic activity of $24,287,955.
The Amarillo EnterPrize Challenge is sponsored by the Amarillo EDC and administered by the WTAMU Enterprise Center.
