The company’s predecessor, Western Merchandisers, a subsidiary of Wal-Mart Inc., distributes books and periodicals to Wal-Mart stores nationally.
In 1991 the company sought to expand its Amarillo distribution operation with the construction of a new computer and communications facility. The Amarillo EDC financed half the cost of building the $1,000,000 facility and rebated more than $85,000 in interest expense over the nine-year term, related to the creation of over 100 new jobs.
