SITEL is a leading global provider of outsourced customer support services to clients in the automotive, consumer, financial services, insurance, technology, telecommunications, and utility industries. On behalf of many of the world’s leading organizations, SITEL helps find, acquire, and retain customers, to enhance the value of these relationships throughout the customer lifecycle. SITEL currently manages approximately two million customer contacts per day via telephone, e-mail, Internet, traditional mail, and other media.  Nearly 36,000 SITEL employees operate from more than 24,500 workstations in 91 contact centers located in 25 countries, providing services in more than 32 languages and dialects. Their Amarillo location employs over 400 people.
In 1995, the Amarillo EDC provided an employee incentive grant of $800,000 for SITEL to create 133 fulltime jobs here in Amarillo. The grant funds were used to: purchase equipment, improvements, rent reduction, training expenses and relocation expenses. To encourage the future growth of SITEL in Amarillo, the Amarillo EDC will provide an additional grant of $150,000 for the next five years, each time 16 new employee stations are added to the office.
