Sage Oil Vac manufactures the patented Oil Vac, a unique concept in on-site fluid exchanges and preventative maintenance. The Oil Vac is the only mobile, 100% enclosed system, between engine and used oil tank, of its kind. The oil is vacuumed directly into the used oil tank, greatly reducing the chance of hot, used oil spilling on the operator or the ground. Sage currently has 26 standard models and will build custom units to meet the needs of customers.
In December 2001, Sage Oil Vac moved from Dalhart to the WTAMU Small Business Incubator. In May 2002, Sage Oil Vac was awarded $40,000 from the Amarillo Enterprize Challenge. With continued success, Sage Oil Vac moved its offices and manufacturing facilities to a new 24,000 square-foot building on Lakeside Drive in east Amarillo in June of 2005. The company currently employs eight office staff and 12 manufacturing employees. Since moving to Amarillo, sales to construction, oil & gas, and ag industries, to mobile oil change businesses and to the military have increased over 600%. The Sage Oil Vac system was recently recognized by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality.
