Signs Show Amarillo Economy is Improving

In addition to the Milken Institute ranking, several signs indicate Amarillo's economy is stabilizing and headed toward recovery. Hotel/motel tax collection, airline boardings, new vehicle sales and sales tax collections are all up from this time last year. Additionally - Policom, an independent economic research firm, ranks the Amarillo MSA at #170 in its 2010 annual report of "Economic Strength Rankings."
