Progress Rail Services

Progress Rail Services Corp. is a major supplier of products and services to the rail industry in North America. Two main areas of focus areEngineering & Track Services and Locomotive & Railcar Services. The company engaged in a $10+ million expansion of its Amarillo railcar repair and remanufacturing complex in 1999, which involved the construction of 112,000 square- feet of new facilities and 16,000 feet of additional rail track.  The Amarillo EDC assisted in the project by providing a $774,000 grant incentive for property acquisition and municipal utility extensions to the site, relating to the creation of 86 new jobs.
